🎬🏙️ On the occasion of the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam 2026, Alliance Française Rotterdam invites you to a screening and discussion on Thursday, October 8.
The event will be hosted by our teacher Joe, who has chosen to present Playtime by Jacques Tati (1967), an iconic film that explores the relationship between people and architecture in an increasingly modern world.
Through his humorous and distinctive visual style, Tati imagines a world where modern architecture influences people’s behaviour, interactions, and even the ways they move around and live together. A portrayal that resonates with many of the issues of our contemporary world… and invites us to open up the discussion!
💬 After the screening, it’s time to talk: come and share your thoughts and reflect together on the ways architecture shapes our everyday lives.
✨ Open to everyone! The film will be screened in French, with English subtitles.
