Since 1892, the Alliance Française de Rotterdam has been a window on French language and culture. Its main activity is to organize language courses accessible to all age groups and adapted to students’ specific needs. Courses take place both face-to-face at the Alliance Française, and remotely. The Alliance adapts to learners’ needs using the latest technologies. With a team of 15 teachers, supported by an administrative department and management, the Alliance Française de Rotterdam is part of the Dutch network of Alliances Françaises (31 members). Having reached a decisive moment in its history, AF Rotterdam is looking for a new director (24 hours/week; 0.6 fte) to meet the various challenges it faces.
Job description:
- Lead, organize and manage the AFR under the authority of its Board of Directors and with the advisory support of the COCAC.
- Develop and implement the establishment projects validated by the AFR Board of Directors.
- Promote the Alliance’s activities and find new markets.
- Ensure the operational management of the Alliance while maintaining its financial health.
Candidate profile:
- University level education/experience
- Fluency in French and Dutch
- Affinity with teaching
- Experience in strategic (re)development
