The TCF evaluates your French language skills and places you in the common European framework of reference for languages (CEFR). After you have passed the TCF you will obtain a certificate stating your level for the different language capacities. This certificate is internationally recognised and valid for two years.

Please note: there will be no possibility of restitution of the exam fee after we have received your inscription.

At the Alliance Française of Rotterdam you can take the three following TCF tests: 

1) TCF tout public

For every person that wishes to evaluate their competences in French for personal, academic or professional reasons. The TCF TP consists of a mandatory part (3 tests) and can be completed with 1 or 2 optional tests. Please refer to the institution that demands the TCF to verify which parts of the test you’ll need.

2) TCF for Quebec

The TCF for Québec is exclusively reserved for people that are issuing an immigration file for immigration to Quebec. It is qualified by norms of the ministry of immigration, diversity and inclusion (MIDI). It is possible to register for 1, 2, 3 or all of the parts of the test.

3) TCF To obtain the French Nationality (ANF)

The TCF ANF is primarily destined to applicants who wish to obtain the French nationality by mariage or naturalization. It uniquely evaluates the abilities of listening and speaking and the level you must obtain is the B1 level, according to the CECR.
