Dans la for\u00eat avoisinante, Ob\u00e9ron, roi des f\u00e9es, se dispute avec Titania, sa femme, au sujet de leurs nombreuses conqu\u00eates pass\u00e9es et pr\u00e9sentes. Ajoutons deux couples d\u2019amoureux contrari\u00e9s \u2013 Hermia, qui est amoureuse de Lysandre mais promise \u00e0 D\u00e9m\u00e9trius, lequel est aim\u00e9 d\u2019H\u00e9l\u00e9na \u2013 et des artisans partis r\u00e9p\u00e9ter une trag\u00e9die pour les noces de leur roi, sous la baguette du truculent Bottom. Tout ce petit monde finit par se retrouver dans la for\u00eat, o\u00f9 les sortil\u00e8ges d\u2019Ob\u00e9ron, aid\u00e9 par le lutin Puck, vont semer la confusion au cours d\u2019une nuit dont personne ne saura vraiment si elle est un r\u00eave, un jeu ou un fantasme. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen.
