DESCRIPTION:Kubuni – Les bandes dessinées d’Afrique(s) est une exposition sans précédent qui témoigne de l’essor de la bande dessinée africaine ✏️🖼️ \n \nKubuni  (« création imaginaire » en swahili) propose une cartographie de la bande dessinée de l’Afrique subsaharienne se dessinant autour de trois grands axes : hier\, aujourd’hui\, demain. L’exposition rassemble les œuvres de plus de 50 autrices/auteurs de bandes dessinées d’Afrique subsaharienne. \nFace à la diversité et à la quantité d’auteurs et d’autrices en Afrique\, les commissaires de Kubuni ont été obligés d’opérer une sélection drastique. Ils ont ainsi décidé se concentrer sur la bande dessinée d’Afrique subsaharienne. Le -s apposé ici à Afrique-s veut cependant rendre sensible la multiplicité de cet ensemble\, composé d’autant d’identités qu’il y a d’auteurs et de pays. \nDepuis quelques années\, des auteurs issus du continent africain ont fait une entrée remarquée sur la scène occidentale de la bande dessinée\, notamment en France. Ce voile partiellement levé a permis de confirmer la vitalité\, la richesse et l’inventivité d’une bande dessinée qui reste à découvrir à l’échelle d’un continent. Il reste encore difficile sur le continent d’accéder à un éditeur et de se voir imprimer sur du papier\, une situation que cette grande rétrospective devrait contribuer à faire évoluer dans le bon sens. \n  \nInfos pratiques : \nExposition présentée en français\, arabe\, anglais et néerlandais. \nEntrée libre et gratuite sur les horaires d’ouverture de l’Alliance. \n \nKubuni\, Comics from Africa(s) is an unprecedented exhibition that bears witness to the rise of African comics ✏️🖼️ \nKubuni (“imaginary creation” in Swahili) offers a cartography of comics from sub-Saharan Africa based on three main themes: yesterday\, today and tomorrow. The exhibition brings together the work of over 50 comic strip authors from sub-Saharan Africa. \nGiven the diversity and sheer number of authors in Africa\, Kubuni’s curators were forced to make a drastic selection. They decided to focus on comics from sub-Saharan Africa. However\, the -s affixed to Africa-s is intended to highlight the multiplicity of this group\, made up of as many identities as there are authors and countries. \nIn recent years\, authors from the African continent have made a remarkable entry onto the Western comics scene\, particularly in France. A comic strip’s life\, creativity\, and richness have been revealed by this partial unveiling. Le pirate Aroudj Barberousse libère Alger de la tyrannie des Espagnols et prend le pouvoir sur le royaume. Selon la rumeur\, il aurait assassiné le roi Salim Toumi\, malgré leur alliance. Contre toute attente\, une femme va lui tenir tête : la reine Zaphira. Entre histoire et légende\, le parcours de cette femme raconte un combat\, des bouleversements personnels et politiques endurés pour le bien d’Alger… \nFilm en langue arabe et sous-titré en anglais. \nVendredi 8 mars à 19H30\, 5€ avec une boisson – Réservez votre PLACE ! \n  \nENG – A historical adventure drama. The history and legend of Zaphira are emblematic of this woman’s struggle and the personal and political turmoil endured for the sake of Algiers.
